Suitable for all induction and refresher training this half day course covers the important areas of safeguarding, dignity and respect, equality and diversity. Delivered I a thought provoking, interactive and entertaining way so that the key messages hit home and are remembered and applied I the workplace.

Competencies for the session include :-


• Understand and apply the Safeguarding standards that underpin all the Safeguarding Adults activity.

• Recognise an adult potentially in need of Safeguarding.
• Know the procedures for making a Safeguarding Adults alert including where and who they should report to.
• Demonstrate Dignity and respect when working with individuals.
• Understand the application of relevant policy and legislation that supports Safeguarding Adults activity.
• Staff are aware of how residents feel when they are not treated with dignity and respect
• Staff know what constitutes best practice when providing services with dignity and respect and ensure they employ these practices
• Staff understand the reasons why unacceptable staff attitudes and practices must be replaced
where they exist
