Safe Use of Medicines Basic Awareness

Finally! What so many of you have been asking for is here! A Train the Trainer course that will enable your in-house trainers to deliver a high quality basic awareness course in the Safe Use of Medicines.

We piloted this course and listened to the feedback before we could offer you this course because we wanted to be sure that it met the needs of care organisation big or small from what ever sector of care they were in. We wanted to make sure that no matter what experience your delegates have in the area of training, this course would equip them with both course content AND the presentation skills necessary to deliver that content.

And then.........we listened some more! And turned the 2 day course into a NEW 3 Day event to ensure that we help you to deliver the highest quality training with the Essential Standards in mind.

This 3 day course covers:

* Setting clear, achievable and measurable objectives for delivering training.
* How to prepare for the day
* How to manage your own emotional state
* Understanding learning styles -how you and your delegates like to learn. This can have a big effect on the way you deliver training
* Gaining the attention of your delegates and dealing with difficult delegates
* Varying your training methods to keep delegates interested
* Experience the course you will deliver
* Common areas of concern about the safe use of medicines
* Common misunderstanding and clearing up “grey areas”
* Post courses assessment and work-based assessment
* A route to recognized accreditation via the train the training provider
* Prepare and present part of the course for day 2

The sessions are designed to be very interactive and allow the delegates as much opportunity as possible to become familiar with the content and the challenges they may face on the day as possible. The train the trainer session allows on the delegates to familiarise themselves with the subject matter and build their confidence and competence in delivering the training effectively.
