Medication Care Needs Assessment Training
This is a 1 day training course aimed at Senior Care Workers and Managers who are or will be involved in the care needs assessment process for providing support with medication.
- Does your documentation really contain all of the necessary information?

The Medication Care Needs Assessment is a key process within the Care Needs Assessment. Having the correct documentation to record the right information is vital not only to meet CSCI requirements for inspection but to support the service user in the right care for them AND to support the care worker in their role. It is therefore paramount that as a service provider your assessors know what details to collect and record, what questions to ask and how and what support from other professionals they can access to help them.

During the day they will learn:-
- Why the need for needs assessment?
- Questions to ask to accurately ascertain what support the client requires
- Record keeping
- Where and when to get support
- Questioning and listening skills
- Have the chance to go through some Case studies
- Role play - A chance for delegates to practice using the checklist, questioning skills and sample documentation
Delegates will be given handouts/workbooks and relevant documents such as checklist, sample record forms, etc. and a certificate of attendance.
