Course outcome
After completing the course, delegates will have a good understanding of self-harm and the different forms that it could take, beyond what is often first thought of when thinking of self-harm. The delegates will also have a deeper understanding of why some people do self-harm and what is needed to help the person onto their road to recovery. This training enables delgates to spot self-harm and give them methods to start communication with that person, opening a door the person who is self-harming may have previously thought was closed.
