This course aims to have a deep dive into PACE and how you can use PACE to help people recover from trauma and maintain calm and thoughtful in your interactions with these people, even in stressful times.

Course content

PACE stands for Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy. By using these four techniques, you will be better equipped to dealing with those that have suffered trauma in the past.

Who is this course designed for?

This course is for anyone who works with children, young people or those in residential homes with complex needs e.g. autism. Nurses, carers, parents, managers and more can benefit from this training.

Course duration

Three hours with a short break. This course can be combined with our Attachment trauma training to be a full day.

Course outcome

After completing the course, delegates will have a comprehensive understanding of what PACE is and how to apply it to both those they work with and themselves. Delegates will then work on how to use the correct language through case studies and scenarios to allow them to put the techniques into practice. There will be a brief look at attachment trauma and how PACE works to help overcome the trauma experienced. If paired with our Attachment Trauma Training, this will be in a greater depth.

Ways to study

PACE is available in-person, due to its discussion based content, if you want the training delivered online over zoom/teams, a discussion will need to take place with our training team to make sure this training can meet your needs. The course content can be tailored to match the needs of specific policies and procedures.

£495 + VAT and travel where applicable for up to 20 participants.
